Unit 3
Our newest and largest machine. First season: 2026.
A tracked tractor pulls a semi-truck trailer that carries the boiler, water and generators. The steam applicator rides on a custom three-point hitch. The machine runs with a crew of two, and travels between farms as a semi-trailer.
In 2026 Unit 3 treated strawberry ground on California’s Central Coast, including the state-funded steam demonstration in Santa Cruz County on fields near schools and other sensitive sites.
Unit 2
Our second build, and the machine featured on Fox & Friends.
A self-contained machine of about 30,000 pounds driven by 6 wheels instead of tracks.
Unit 1
Our first machine, built in early 2024.
A propane-fired boiler that can be run by a single operator. Unit 1 treated the plots in the 2025–26 University of California field trials, and it still runs demonstrations and research trials for growers.
